Developed by Jon Kinney

We are seeking skilled and enthusiastic AI Technician volunteers to assist in the development and maintenance of our organization's AI systems, with a special focus on our groundbreaking Ma'at Protocol Initiative. Developed by Jon Kenney, this innovative research project aims to integrate Universal Principles derived from ancient Kemetic/Alkebulan wisdom (Truth, Balance, Order, Justice, and Reciprocity) into AI architectures. Unlike conventional approaches that treat ethics as abstract concepts applied externally, the Ma'at Protocol views these principles as tangible, operational Universal Laws that can be embedded directly into AI systems, creating inherently stable, balanced, and bias-resistant technology.

The AI Technician volunteer will work in small teams to design, plan, implement, support, and improve open source AI capabilities while exploring how these Universal Principles can be computationally formalized and embedded in neural network architectures. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for AI who desires to make a positive impact through the utilization of their skills and expertise at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and ancient wisdom traditions.

This position is both creative and rigorous by nature—you need to think outside the box while maintaining technical precision. The work requires moving beyond conventional AI paradigms to explore fundamentally different approaches to AI development, where Universal Principles serve as the operational foundation rather than external constraints or post-hoc corrections. We expect candidates to be proactive and have a "get it done" spirit. To be successful, you will have solid problem-solving skills and an openness to interdisciplinary approaches that bridge ancient wisdom with cutting-edge technology.
