Rubina,

"train global citizens who can take care of this village"

I would call this "stewardship education"... and it starts by instilling a Stewardship Ethic into people -- starting from a young age, and also needs to be reinforced throughout their lifetimes (so that they do not "forget" or learn new and destructive habits).

As I noted before, as a global society we should be concentrating on developing our human resources rather than just the "natural resources"... which of course are important, but we also need to have good STEWARDSHIP structures in place rather than only focusing on "Development" (i.e. EXPLOITATION) of the natural resource base.

We have been focusing on the wrong things. We have somehow been "brainwashed" into thinking that the destruction and liquidation of our natural resources is positive, and yet just the opposite is true!

This "destruction and liquidation" is also very often measured as "GDP", which is a TERRIBLE measure and metric for any kind of real progress and as a quality of life metric... even through everyone still pays attention only to these numbers (as if they were some kind of reflection on reality).

Interestingly, the high "GDP" in America is a reflection of the "financizalization" of the US Dollar through (virtual) "financial instruments" that focus on speculation and the "hope" of endless growth.*

* i.e. growth in the rate of destruction and liquidation of our Earthly natural resources.

There is something quite perverse going on in the world.  It's interesting that even though the "Economy" has "lost" so much over the past few weeks, are things like the stock market losses really affecting people materially?

P.S. Poor people are not typically investing into the Stock Market or "Equities".

AHIABGA and GSDGs2030 Co-Leaders:

Please welcome William Wells, as we shift from establishing a global and regional leadership team to drill down locally

All other recipients,

Mr. Wells has agreed to accept an honorary appointment as goodwill ambassador to "localize" the sustainable development goals (specifically #11 - building safe and sustainable communities and cities through #4 (Education) impacting the other goals to "leave no one behind" via his nonprofit aSTEAMvillage.org, but his EncounterKansasCity is the first spin-off of EncounterLA.net and member of our online EncounterGlobal social media group, so I am expanding this distribution to selected members to invite you to consider (a) ways his program might be expanded and/or adapted in your local community and (b) joining our roster of honorary goodwill ambassadors who invite at least 10 other non-business members (free) to join the United Nations Global Compact USA Local Network (unglobalcompact.org/participation) by distributing (electronically) a similar booklet as attached, with you/r organization replacing Mr. Wells, or a generic booklet to your network.

Ms. Veronica Woolfolk and I will provide any administrative assistance needed, and are preparing an online series of  (free) presentations to be available via http://ezxpo.net/fpyf.

The "All Hands On Deck" call to action asks each of you to put aside any differences we might have to work together for a common objective - it is NOT necessary for any of you to work with any others, but encouraged.

Thanking you, in advance, for distributing this to any/all of your contacts/networks that might find the information of value.
