If we want to stay on OpenACS for ecomerce, installing and fixing commence
pkg, I’m totally on it. Nevertheless, we better not to put the horses
before the carrier.

To me ]po[ is a logical option for ecommere over oacs or maybe you
consider them the same.

other options that i already have a working knowledge of include
http://compo.sr and http://odoo.com

i'm sure there are others but package integration within one core system
is a requirement. not looking to make several different products work
together. so the search has been on for distros.

the compo.sr is probably the most complete with open source software...at
big plus

the odoo.com is a modern wordpress pipeline for a logical migration path
the easiest for me to use, it has an intuitive content creation
methodology that is based on what i see as "filling in fields by creating
new forms as needed, methods"

Running OACS E-Commerce will demand more work, which implies in time  &
costs) Do we have demand for purchases already?

I have a demand for creating line item budgets for ICT systems that we
seek funding for on a organization program bases. I have the
http://wecanf.net which i'm the president of the board of directors
and
The http://rhsrider.net where i'm the Treasurer

i created http://ocportal.com instances on bluehost for both of these
organizations. There's also my own http://caltek.net which i'd like to
develop into the eRider Network. i've started an .elp that i can share
with you.

Otherwise, we could always start building a few leads and campaigns, using
a third party ticket system, such as Eventbrite.
https://www.eventbrite.com/ <https://www.eventbrite.com/> This guys will
take a percentage, but even that would be cheaper.

I am not interested in the large conventional services of others. The
value is in providing choice. The ends to the means for me requires i
continue to explore, plan and have the potential to deploy my own,
primarily as an entrepreneurial train-the-trainer service. i know i
through a lot of mixed terminology around but being able to describe my
ideas requires developing our own brain trust of information communication
teknowledgy.

Once we get certain about the demand and where we’ll get better revenue,
then we start building anything. That way we get to be more assertive.

i totally agree. that makes good sense.

Well, I agree about investing. if we want to prioritize, getting things
done quickly, we'll need to spend money.

i'm looking to develop the how-to then assess target pipelines w/ online
marketing for a series of workshops and events.

Best wishes,
I
