Five-Day Service Schedule Begins July 18, 2010Starting July 18, the Los Angeles Public Library will be open five days a week at the Central Library and all 72 branch libraries. The change to five-day service is the result of a reduction in library staff and other cuts due to the city's budget deficit.
Central Library hours will be:
Tuesday, Thursday: 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Wednesday, Friday, Saturday: 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Sunday, Monday, holidays: closed
Branch library hours will be:
Tuesday, Thursday: 12:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Wednesday, Friday, Saturday: 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
